Charter bus options in Tallahassee, Florida
Home to 189,000 people, Tallahassee is also a university town (Florida State and Florida A&M). As the state capital of Florida, Tallahassee is the center of many government agencies, law firms, and trade associations, but also offers a thriving arts and restaurant scene. Because it’s located in the northern part of the Florida Panhandle, the climate in Tallahassee tends to be colder than much of the rest of Florida, with intense rain in the summer and even occasional snowfall in the winter.
Visitors wanting to take in the many museums, parks, and performing arts of Tallahassee — or those looking to drink in the natural splendor of the national forest surrounding it — can see it all with the help of Metropolitan Shuttle. We offer vehicles both large and small, from coach buses to shuttle vans. Whether you need a charter bus rental in Tallahassee for a corporate event, family reunion, or get-together with friends, we have the bus or van for you. You won’t find a better deal on Tallahassee party bus rentals, and our courteous, professional staff will be with you every step of the way.
Here’s a closer look at a few of the attractions Tallahassee has to offer.
Railroad Square Art Park
Just off Railroad Avenue, art enthusiasts will find a place where small, locally owned shops sit side by side with artist studios. The Railroad Square Art Park is the cultural and artistic hub of the city, where visitors of all ages can enjoy local art, cuisine, and community. On the first Friday of every month, the area hosts a gallery hop, allowing visitors to take a tour of the coffee shops, boutiques, and galleries.
Tallahassee Automobile Museum
With over 140 automobiles, toy cars, and other auto memorabilia, the Tallahassee Automobile and Collectible Museum is home to some truly memorable vintage vehicles, including a 1931 Duesenberg Model J, a 1911 Model T, a Delorean (as made famous by the Back to the Future films) and three Batmobiles. The museum also rents out themed banquet halls for events. Why not book a minibus rental in Tallahassee and get some friends together for a night at the museum?
St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge
Rent a bus in Tallahassee and see one of the oldest wildlife refuges in America! St. Marks is a nature lover’s paradise, covering almost 70,000 acres of saltwater marsh, tidal creek, and river country. Here, nature lovers will find not only a wealth of natural beauty and wildlife, but man-made historic landmarks like St Marks Lighthouse, the second-oldest lighthouse in the state. Animals in the area include alligators, raccoons, black bears and bobcats. The refuge also leads into the Great Florida Birding Trail, a two thousand mile stretch of protected habitat that’s home to over five hundred species of rare birds.
Tallahassee Museum
History enthusiasts can also get a glimpse of Florida wildlife by visiting the Tallahassee Museum, which features exhibits showcasing the state’s natural resources. “Big Bend Farm” and “Old Florida” offer a glimpse into rural life in 19th century Florida, while the “Wildlife Florida” exhibit features a close-up look at black bears, white-tailed deer, red wolves, Florida panthers, and more. The museum also features nature trails, aviaries, and a cypress habitat.
Mission San Luis de Apalachee
Built in 1633, the Mission San Luis de Apalachee was built by the Spanish to help colonize the Florida Panhandle region. The mission was evacuated and destroyed by the Spanish garrison in 1704 to prevent its use by English and Creek Indian raiders. Reconstruction work began in 1996, and today the church, convent, council house, and many other buildings have been accurately reassembled using historical evidence. The mission is on the National Register of Historic Places.
