On the other hand, if you’re looking for bargains — such as knock-off bags or bargain souvenirs — you can head to Lower Manhattan. There, you can hunt down plenty of amazing deals in the trendy shops on Mott Street between Canal and Chatham Square, as well as around Chinatown.
If window shopping is more your speed, you could always take a coach bus or shuttle van to the Upper East Side and Madison Avenue, where you can do some sightseeing and look at all the fabulously expensive clothes and accessories you can’t afford.

When you’ve finished shopping, you can head back to the theater district, where you will find a limitless array of entertainment choices, including:
- Carnegie Hall, the famous 19th-century venue for recitals and symphonies;
- Hudson Theater, the third oldest theatre on Broadway at over a hundred years old;
- Jazz at Lincoln Center, which is made up of three spaces: Rose Theater, The Appel Room, and Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola. If you like jazz, Rose Theater is regarded as the premier jazz performance venue on the planet.
