Charter Bus & Party Bus rental in San Jose
Called the “heart of Silicon Valley” and the largest city in Northern California, San Jose is home to over a million people. Lying squarely in the most affluent county in California, San Jose is also an economic and cultural powerhouse: the city is home to many of the most well-known companies in the world: PayPal, Acer, Adobe, and eBay, to name only a few.
But San Jose is more than just big companies and high tech. Visitors will find plenty of culture and entertainment to excite them: the Dr. Martin King, Jr. Library, the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, the San Jose Improv, Japantown San Jose, Raging Waters, the San Jose Flea Market, and much more.
Whether you’re in San Jose for a corporate event, personal vacation, or a large family gathering, Metropolitan Shuttle has the expertise and resources to meet your transportation needs. As one of the most reliable charter bus companies in San Jose, we offer shuttle vans, coach buses, school buses, big party vans, and options in between. No matter what your reason for traveling to or chartering a bus in San Jose, Metropolitan Shuttle can help you.
Party Bus Rental San Jose
San Jose is split into several neighborhoods:
- Downtown, the central business district and home to many of the museums and theaters
- West San Jose, comprising suburbs and high-tech companies like Apple and Campbell
- North San Jose, known for the annual Berryessa Art & Wine Festival
- South San Jose, mostly middle-class and upper-class residences
Here are just a few of the things to see and do in San Jose. The easiest way to visit them all is to rent a bus from Metropolitan Shuttle.
National Theatre of Costa Rica
Opened in 1897, the historical Teatro Nacional de Costa Rica’s first performance was a showing of Goethe’s Faust. Famous for its lavish interior and historic significance, the theatre is still a regular tourist attraction and holds regular shows by the National Symphonic Orchestra. The National Theatre is the perfect spot for a night’s minibus rental in San Jose and an evening on the town.
Pre-Columbian Gold Museum
Located underground, beneath the Plaza de la cultura, the three-level Pre-Columbian Gold Museum features a collection of over 1600 Pre-Columbian gold artifacts. Among the items is Costa Rica’s very first coin, the Media Escudo. Among the many other artifacts in the collection is a life-sized gold warrior figure, along with a replica of a pre-Columbian grave containing over eighty gold objects. The Pre-Columbian Gold Museum is in the same building as the National Coin Museum, which boasts a collection of coins and banknotes dating back to 1236.
La Sabana Metropolitan Park
In downtown San Jose you’ll find the Parque La Sabana, the country’s largest urban park. Nearly a square kilometer of green space, the park is an important landmark in itself, and is surrounded by the most notable institutions of San Jose, such as the Costa Rican Art Museum, the 40,000 seat Estadio Nacional (national stadium), and more. The park features an artificial lake, sports fields, and skating tracks where visitors can relax and recreate between sightseeing excursions.
Winchester Mystery House
This mansion was once the residence of Sarah Winchester, the widow of William Winchester, the treasurer of the Winchester Arms Company. The Winchester Mystery House is so-named because of the rumors it is haunted by the ghosts of those killed with Winchester rifles. Up until her death, Sarah Winchester remained preoccupied with warding off evil spirits, which inspired the architecture of the home itself. This is reflected in the many instances of the number 13 in the house (13 candles in the chandeliers, 13 holes in the sink drain covers, and so on). The house has appeared in television, comics, novels, and other popular culture phenomena.
Peralta Adobe
Built in 1797, the Peralta Adobe is the oldest building in San Jose, and has been turned into a museum reflecting the lifestyle of Spanish and Mexican California. Still furnished as it would have appeared two centuries ago, the Peralta Adobe is a registered historic site and California Historical Landmark.
The Tech Museum of Innovation
For a more modern look at Silicon Valley, book a school bus rental in San Jose and head to to “the Tech,” located in downtown San Jose. The three-story museum features interactive exhibits dealing with energy, exploration, and genetics. Visitors can design and build robots, see a film in the IMAX Dome Theater, and take in a wide array of galleries and movies.
